Christmas may still be a few months away, but the LEGO Christmas sets 2026 lineup is already starting to take shape.

For collectors, the holiday season is about more than finding one festive set to build in December. LEGO Advent Calendars turn the entire month into a daily building tradition, seasonal decorations bring bricks into Christmas décor, and the Winter Village Collection has become an annual display ritual for many LEGO fans.

For 2026, the clearest part of the holiday lineup so far is the new range of LEGO Advent Calendars. Five themes have now been officially revealed: Star Wars, Marvel, Disney Princess, City and Friends. In the US, all five are scheduled to ship from September 1, 2026.

And this year, there is another question worth asking:

Which Christmas builds are still worth displaying after December is over?

LEGO Christmas 2026: What Has Been Revealed So Far?

At this stage of the year, the 2026 holiday lineup can be divided into three main areas.

LEGO Advent Calendars

This is currently the most complete part of LEGO's Christmas lineup.

The five confirmed 2026 calendars are:

The US prices range from $34.99 for City and Friends to $44.99 for Marvel, Star Wars and Disney Princess. All five are listed by LEGO for September 1, 2026 shipping.

LEGO Christmas Decorations and Seasonal Builds

Traditional holiday décor is also beginning to appear.

One of the first confirmed examples is LEGO Christmas Stocking 40958, a 342-piece seasonal build priced at $34.99 in the US and scheduled for October 1, 2026.

Unlike an Advent Calendar, a build like this is designed much more around the finished object. It brings LEGO closer to the role of actual Christmas décor rather than simply a toy opened during the holidays.

LEGO Winter Village

The Winter Village Collection remains one of LEGO's longest-running Christmas traditions. LEGO describes it as an annual holiday collection that fans can continue adding to year after year.

As more 2026 Winter Village and seasonal information becomes available, this section will be updated.

For now, however, the biggest Christmas story is clearly the five new Advent Calendars.

An Advent Calendar is different from a normal LEGO set.

LEGO Marvel Advent Calendar 76340 includes six minifigures:

Spider-Man, Iron Man, Doctor Doom, Ghost Spider, Captain America and Wolverine. 

Captain America appears with a candy cane and shield, while Spider-Man gets skis. Other surprises include an Iron Man present-wrapping robot, Doctor Doom-themed builds, a Helicarrier, an X-Jet-inspired sleigh and even a Christmas tree created using green Wolverine claws.

Why Marvel 76340 Has Strong Collector Value

Six recognizable Marvel minifigures give this calendar an easy second life.

Once December ends, you do not need to keep all 24 items arranged as an Advent display. The characters can become part of a larger Marvel minifigure collection, while the most distinctive holiday builds can remain as seasonal accessories.

For collectors who organize figures by hero, villain, movie era or theme, the calendar becomes another source of displayable characters rather than a disposable December activity.

Star Wars takes a more focused approach this year.

Instead of pulling surprises from unrelated corners of the galaxy, LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 75456 centers heavily on The Mandalorian.

The character selection includes The Mandalorian, Moff Gideon, Carson Teva and a Jawa, plus Grogu, Pit Droid and IG-11. Mando and Grogu receive complementary holiday sweaters, giving two instantly recognizable characters a Christmas-specific variation.

Then there are the vehicles.

The calendar includes seven mini vehicle builds:

The biggest strength of 75456 is consistency.

Characters, creatures and ships all belong to a recognizable Star Wars world. That makes it easier to turn the contents into a deliberate scene once all 24 doors have been opened.

For example, the minifigures can form the foreground while the microscale Razor Crest, N-1 Starfighter, TIE Fighter and other ships create a second visual layer behind them.

Instead of looking like 24 unrelated Advent surprises, the collection starts to resemble a miniature Mandalorian gallery.

This is particularly useful if you already display larger Star Wars models. A small seasonal collection can sit alongside them without competing for the same amount of space.

Disney Princess 43298 has a different priority.

Instead of conventional minifigures, the set includes Ariel, Cinderella, Moana and Mulan microdolls, together with Sebastian, Gus, Pua and Mushu.

The daily builds lean strongly into a colorful Christmas story, including a gingerbread castle, fireplace, presents, piano, Christmas tree, toy train, stage and other small festive elements.

One of its smartest features is the packaging.

Once the calendar is opened, the box can become a game board with a buildable spinner for up to eight players.

It may not have the same minifigure collector appeal as Marvel or Star Wars, but it arguably creates one of the most visually cohesive family-friendly Christmas displays.

LEGO City Advent Calendar 2026 60510

Best for: Traditional Christmas atmosphere
Display Potential: High during the holiday season

The 2026 calendar includes Santa, Mrs. Claus, three elves, a snowman and a baby reindeer, along with seasonal mini builds and accessories. The box can also unfold into a Santa's Workshop playmat.

There is no need to connect these builds to a superhero movie or sci-fi universe.

They are Christmas first.

And that makes City particularly useful as part of a larger holiday display.

Why City Works Well With Other Christmas LEGO

Santa, elves, reindeer, gifts and snow-covered details are easy to blend into an existing Christmas shelf or Winter Village scene.

In fact, Advent Calendars can sometimes be more useful for this purpose than a larger standalone set because they provide so many small background details.

The limitation is that City 60510 is highly seasonal.

A Spider-Man minifigure still feels relevant in July.

Santa's Workshop probably does not.

So we would rate City very highly for Christmas display value, but lower for year-round collector value.

Daily activities include snowball fights, sleigh rides, hot chocolate and snowman building, while smaller accessories add gifts, cookies, festive hats and other winter details.

The result is less of a character collection and more of a developing winter story.

For a bright, cozy or playful Christmas display, that works very well.

What Should You Do With a LEGO Advent Calendar After Christmas?

Turn the Minifigures Into a Small Character Collection

Marvel and Star Wars are especially well suited to this.

Rather than separating the characters immediately, keep the festive variants together as a dated collection.

Six months later, they no longer represent random Spider-Man, Wolverine, Mando or Grogu figures.
