1. Suspension System(Perfect synthesis of power and elegance)
- The Ducati Panigale V4 is equipped with standard Ohlins front and rear suspension, which is already high-end but lacks electronic adjustment.
- The Ducati Panigale V4 S comes with Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 electronic suspension, which automatically adjusts the damping of both front and rear suspension based on the road conditions and riding modes. This provides more precise control, improving handling and comfort, especially during track and high-performance riding.
2. Wheels
- The Ducati Panigale V4 comes with aluminum alloy wheels, offering good rigidity and durability.
- The Ducati Panigale V4 S is equipped with lightweight forged aluminum wheels, which are lighter than standard alloy wheels, reducing unsprung mass. This improves handling and stability, especially in corners and during braking, providing more precise feedback.
3. Braking System
- Both bikes feature Brembo M50 brake calipers and 320mm carbon-ceramic brake discs, offering exceptional braking performance.
- The V4 S benefits from its lighter wheels and upgraded suspension, resulting in more stable and efficient braking performance, particularly during high-speed riding and track use.
- The main changes regard the contact points between motorcycle and rider and the position in the saddle. Tank, footpegs and seat fit area have been completely revised with the aim of heightening control in the most important phases of track riding and allowing the rider to fully exploit the performance of the Panigale V4 both over a single lap and during an extended session.
4. Electronics and Riding Modes
- The Ducati Panigale V4 comes with Ducati’s standard electronics package, including Ducati Quick Shift (DQS), engine braking management, and cornering ABS, making it suitable for everyday riding and casual riders.
- The Ducati Panigale V4 S has additional advanced features, such as dynamic traction control (DTC), wheelie control (DWC), and fully adjustable Ohlins EC 2.0 suspension, offering more customizable settings and an even more refined riding experience.
- The electronic solutions integrated into the new Panigale V4 offer the rider an even more safe and sophisticated superbike that can amplify the riding ability of every rider.
5. Weight
- The Panigale V4 has a curb weight of approximately 198 kg, while the V4 S is slightly lighter at around 195 kg. This weight reduction is mainly due to the use of lightweight wheels and electronic suspension, which lowers unsprung mass, improving handling and performance.
6. Appearance and Details
- The exterior of the Panigale V4 S is very similar to the Panigale V4, but the Panigale V4 S features additional high-performance details, such as the “S” logo, indicating its higher-spec configuration.
- The Panigale V4 S often comes with upgraded seats and sometimes special edition paint schemes and badges.
7. Price
- Due to the higher-end components, the Panigale V4 S is priced higher than the Panigale V4.
