The Lamborghini Sian FKP 37, unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year, marks the Italian automaker's debut hybrid supercar.
Unless you happen to be a wealthy oil tycoon or a Russian oligarch, it’s nearly certain that you won’t be behind the wheel of a Lamborghini Sian, as only 63 units will ever be produced. This LEGO® Technic™ set offers the closest experience to owning this ultra-rare, hybrid supercar.
But, if you happen to have a spare $3.6 million and a solid relationship with Lamborghini, perhaps the actual Sian could be yours after all.
The excitement with the LEGO® Lamborghini Sián set doesn’t stop at the build itself. The packaging is equally impressive, with the top of the box designed to mimic the Sián's rear, complete with exhaust pipes and taillights. This luxurious packaging continues the tradition established with the previous two LEGO® Technic™ supercar sets. Inside the box, the pieces are neatly arranged in six separate containers, designed to echo the Sián’s carbon-fiber engine cover, with the four central boxes overlapping like the car's sleek scales. Unlike past sets, the exclusive rims are kept hidden, preserving the reveal moment. Weighing in at an impressive 13.6 pounds, the unopened package of the Lamborghini Sián outshines the Porsche’s 11-pound box, making it a true collector’s item for LEGO® and Lamborghini enthusiasts alike.
At the rear, the sleek, angular design that Lamborghini has refined since the iconic Countach takes center stage, showcasing an aggressive, almost otherworldly stance that commands attention.
The LEGO® Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 engine detailing features an intricate mix of round and macaroni bricks to replicate the complex exhaust system, complemented by carbon-fiber printed tiles that capture the car’s signature finish. The twisting pipes offer a refreshing break from the usual beams and gears found in the rest of the build. Framing elements are also included, though they might appear slightly out of place as they sit beneath the final body panels. Rest assured, this isn’t a Land Rover build! Having completed Box 2, we’re now 75% through the first manual, with LEGO® Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 coming to life with every turn of the page.
The LEGO® Lamborghini Sián FKP 37’s tires are as striking as the car itself, capturing the essence of Lamborghini’s commitment to both performance and aesthetics. The meticulously designed wheels are crafted to reflect the iconic, sleek style of the Lamborghini Sián, adding an extra layer of realism to the model. The tires, designed specifically for this LEGO® Lamborghini set, provide an authentic look, ensuring that every detail, from the tread pattern to the bold Lamborghini logo, stands out. This attention to detail highlights LEGO®’s dedication to creating a truly immersive experience, making the LEGO Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 a must-have for collectors and car enthusiasts alike.
The Lamborghini Sián FKP 37, one of the world’s most exclusive and expensive supercars, fits seamlessly alongside the Bugatti Chiron and Porsche 911 GT3 RS in LEGO®’s supercar lineup. This Technic model offers a highly detailed and challenging build experience, making it one of the most complex LEGO sets currently available. For those who haven’t yet had the pleasure of building the previous supercar models, it’s hard to truly grasp the scale of this set. At nearly two feet long and almost 5 inches tall, it’s a visually impressive and substantial creation.
Priced at $380 USD, the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 is a bit more expensive than its predecessors, but the price-per-piece ratio remains competitive. The play features are well-executed, and while those familiar with previous models may not encounter a lot of surprises, newcomers to this LEGO® Lamborghini series will find this set to be one of the most rewarding builds. The result is a stunning model of the fierce, green Lamborghini Sián, encapsulating the spirit of the Italian bull brand, all presented in LEGO’s finest packaging. It’s truly a masterpiece for collectors and car enthusiasts.
If you're worried about the color issues—an entirely valid concern—you might want to hold off on purchasing for six months to a year. While discounts on the previous supercars have been few and far between, the Lamborghini Sián will certainly be available for that long. Hopefully, LEGO will use that time to address the color inconsistencies. Currently, the Sián is out of stock in many regions, leaving those who haven’t made their purchase yet with no choice but to wait. Once the color issues are resolved, though, it will undoubtedly be worth the wait.
